Raheja Developers’ channel partner named Nitin Jain, owner of a firm named ‘Adinath Associates’ has been arrested by Delhi Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW). He has allegedly duped a senior citizen of crores under the false pretense of selling him properties in an upcoming project.
The accused is a resident of Rohini. An FIR was registered in the case in March 2021 based on a complaint received from one Girish Kapoor, a resident of Kalkaji.
Chhaya Sharma, Joint Commissioner, EOW, said, "It was alleged that the complainant booked various units in the project ‘Trinity’ and ‘Maheswara’ launched by alleged M/s Raheja Developers Ltd at Sector-84, Gurgaon, through one Nitin Jain, authorised channel Partner of the alleged company.”
The accused received an amount of Rs 11.5 crore in his personal account and in the account of his firm ‘Adinath Associates’. Later, Raheja Developers cancelled the booking of the complainant.
With bookings being cancelled, when the complainant asked for his money, the accused allegedly, gave cheques to the complainant, all of which were dishonoured. Moreover, no ownership documents related to the investment by the complainant in the projects were provided by the alleged person.
