In a new development, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has made the entire process of property mutation completely online. There will be no manual correspondence pertaining to mutation from now onwards.
A QR code enabled computer-generated certificate which will require no signature, can be downloaded by the public on MCD’s website, informs MCD.
The MCD has also issued instructions that notices for properties, except properties covered under GRP, will be mandatorily issued online. This step has been introduced by MCD to bring more transparency and for better monitoring and disposal of these notices. Such online notices will be issued with an auto-generated computer serial number through the web portal.
According to officials, in addition to this, the process of serving notices for property tax reminders will also be online soon.
“All the paperwork will be online and the case file review will also be done digitally. There will be no need to visit offices and carry files,” stated official.
