On Monday, a magistrate’s court issued non-bailable warrants against M/s Hindustan Construction Company Limited and its directors for failing to appear before it in a case related to delay in payment of tax deducted at source (TDS) amounting to over Rs 50 crore for two financial years.
Special public prosecutor Amit Munde had opposed a stay on the order.
The prosecution said that on the last date, the court had directed the accused to remain present before it on Monday. It further said that the accused were absent and non-bailable warrants were issued against all the accused and a plea to stay the orders were also rejected.
