Khalid Moin, a professor in the department of civil engineering of Jamia Millia Islamia along with his two other accomplices has been arrested by the CBI in connection with a Rs 1 lakh bribery case. Moin was arrested on the charges of receiving a bribery amount from a Delhi-based architecture firm.
Allegedly, Moin gave the structural safety certificate to the Chintels Paradiso apartment in Gurugram, part of which collapsed recently killing two women. Although, he is not arrested in connection to the collapse of the house.
Prakhar Pawar of M/s Vyom Architect, and Abid Khan, an employee of the company was also arrested by the CBI.
CBI spokesperson R C Joshi informed that the searches were being conducted at the premises of the accused and the arrested accused will be produced before a designated court in Delhi.
